HOW DO I CARE FOR MY SHIRT?
A SHIRT LIKE NEW
First and foremost, check the production label. It can give you instructions on how to wash your shirt. Water temperature, wash cycle, air dry or tumble dry...
After separating light and dark colours, wash in cold or lukewarm water to avoid shrinking and fading.
Shirts in bright or dark colours or very delicate fabrics (silk, wool, synthetic fibres) should be machine-washed at 30° to avoid fading. Shirts made from cotton, linen or natural fibres should be machine-washed at 30°-40°. These temperatures remove stains and preserve your shirt. Finally, hot water (40°-60°) can be used to remove stubborn stains and disinfect, but be sure to check the instructions on the label beforehand.
Prevent your shirt from becoming misshapen by avoiding excessive spin-drying. For cotton fabrics, linen should not exceed 600-800 rpm. For delicate fabrics (silk, lace, muslin), favour gentle spinning or even hand spinning.
It's also best to air-dry or tumble-dry your shirt at a low temperature, as this may cause it to deform or shrink.
Depending on your shirt and its type of fabric, an optimal temperature setting is recommended.

On the whole, if you follow the ironing recommendations correctly, your shirt will not be damaged.
Clean the stain as quickly as possible so that it doesn't penetrate the fabric fibres.
You can gently dab the stain from your shirt with water and Marseille soap. This method can be useful for the most common stains, such as grease. However, some stains will require the use of more specific products.
Avoid tumble-drying if the stain has not completely disappeared, preferring to air-dry. The heat will set the stain permanently on your shirt.
Note that these tips may differ depending on the type of stain and the fabric of your shirt. So don't forget to refer to the manufacturer's label.
With the arrival of warmer weather, linen shirts are becoming a key item in the CAFÉ COTON wardrobe. A popular fabric for clothing thanks to its characteristics, resistance and durability, linen is more precisely a natural fibre extracted from the stem of the flax plant. These shirts are ideal for summer days, allowing air to circulate easily and helping to regulate your body temperature.
However, they do require special care.
Washing: to avoid shrinkage, wash your linen shirt on a gentle cycle in cold or lukewarm water.
What products should I use? To keep the fibres in good condition, don't use aggressive products. Instead, use mild detergent, Marseille soap or even white vinegar as a fabric softener. You can also mix bicarbonate of soda with water to make a paste to apply to the stain and rinse with clean water. To avoid stains on your shirt, don't spray chemicals such as perfume on the garment.
Drying: give priority to air-drying and avoid exposing your shirt to the sun, as this could cause the colours to yellow or bleach. Shirts are easily creased, so don't forget to hang them up or lay them flat to dry.
Ironing: you can iron your shirt while it's still slightly damp to make the process easier and get a better result. Don't forget to refer to the instructions on the manufacturer's label: we recommend using the iron on the "linen" (or "cotton") setting. Generally speaking, these are low ironing temperatures.
